On 31-May-2013, the UP Electricity Regularity Commission (UPERC) announced the new tariff order for 2013-14. The last tariff hike was announced on 02-Nov-2012. The regulatory surcharge was introduced in this tariff. It is to meet out/counterbalance the losses.
