PD which is referred as permanent disconnection is actually termination of agreement. When we apply for a new electricity connection, we have a agreement of getting electricity supply at the current tariff rate decided by the hon. regulatory commission.

TD is referred as temporary disconnection, which is disconnecting electricity supply due to a valid reason or disobeying agreement. Supply resumes once the reason of disconnection has been removed.

If such reason has not been removed till 6 months. Department may initiate pd process or say terminate their agreement.
