FIR lodged or not?
Period of wrong tariff used?
Metered or unmetered consumer?

Assuming :
1. FIR was not lodged, So, use section 126(IV), else 135E could have been used.
2. Period 1 year
3. Metered with consumption 2400 during above period.
substract the bill amount of above period from adjustment section.

According to the Electricity Act-2003, No assessment and Compounding should be done for FIR in the Section-138 B. But, recently MD UPPCL ordered to do so with reference to a case of maharastra.
So, Now assessment is being done for the period from Disconnection Date to the Checking Date with the double rate of consumption unit. If unit is not available, LFHD could be used for that period.
You can accept compounding also wrt the Order of MD UPPCL.

aisa koi rule nahi hai. If you are bale to prove that theft was being carried since one day. it could be for a day.

IN ESC-2005 page-no -103
C. Assessment of Energy in cases of theft/pilferage.
POINT NO 3 -The consumption so assessed, shall be charged at.......... 1.5 OR 3 times...... the normal tariff applicable and payment made for the energy consumption of the assessment period shall be adjusted.
Sir, it is 1.5 times or 3 times. please clarify.

You are referring to the electricity supply code - 2005 up to the 3rd amendment. At that time assessment was calculated by 1.5 times. But, after the 4th amendment in 27-mar-2019, it became 2 times.
So, the Assessed unit will be 2 times LFHD.
There is nothing like 3 times.
