New Year Relief: First Phase of Bijli Bill Rahat Yojna Extended

UPPCL has extended the first phase of the Bijli Bill Rahat Yojna (OTS) by 3 days. Consumers who register and pay their dues by 3 January will get the maximum benefit, including 100% interest waiver and up to 25% discount on the principal amount.

This scheme also helps consumers settle old electricity theft cases and avoid legal issues. UPPCL Chairman Dr. Ashish Goel said the scheme has received an overwhelming response with 27 lakh registrations. As per the intent of the Chief Minister and Energy Minister, the deadline was extended.

In simple terms:

New last date: Pay and register by 3 January to get maximum benefit.
Big discount: No interest to pay and up to 25% discount on the main bill amount.
Legal relief: Chance to close old cases related to electricity theft, FIRs, and court matters.
