UP Electricity Supply Code, 2005 - 5th Amendment (2014)

Issued to resolve operational difficulties under the 2005 Code. Introduced provisions for temporary prepaid connections to Jhuggi/hutments and small vendors (up to 2 kW), updated terms for temporary supply extensions (up to 5 years), improved metering and billing for defective meters using audit meters, and clarified load enhancement and excess-load billing procedures to ensure fairer and safer supply management.
