UP Electricity Supply Code, 2005 - 8th Amendment (2016)

Introduced provisions for electrification of undeveloped or un-electrified colonies. Licensees must develop HT/LT lines in such colonies on request, with work starting after 50% of plot owners deposit estimated costs. Applicable to colonies with ≥25% construction and max 400 kW load. Includes ABC lines, carry-over charges for late payers, and allows unrecovered costs to be treated as capex or tariff pass-through. (Later this amendment is overruled by the 9th Amendment, 2017.)
