UP Electricity Supply Code, 2025 - 9th Amendment (2017)

Abolished the 8th Amendment’s colony electrification proviso and introduced a new scheme under 4.9(k). Licensees must develop distribution networks for undeveloped/un-electrified colonies in/near urban areas. Work starts after 25% of houses are built and 50% of residents deposit ₹35/sq.ft. IT lines on STP and LT on PCC poles. Unrecovered costs can be included as Capex in ARR. Not applicable to colonies by Development Authorities/Housing Boards.
