Hello there, I am Nishant Naveen. I joined this website on 10-Oct-2025. Feel free to share my articles on social media.

In our previous article, we already explained the details of the Bijli Bill Rahat Yojana (OTS Scheme)—including who is eligible, available rebates, categories covered, and the benefits offered.

In this guide, we focus only on the online process to help you check your own eligibility from home, without visiting any electricity office or SDO/JE counter. The entire process takes less than 1 minute.

Step-by-Step Guide to Check Your Eligibility Online

  • From the dropdown list, choose your district where your electricity connection is registered.
  • Take any of your electricity bills and locate your Account Number (usually printed on the top right side). Enter the number exactly as printed.
  • Solve a Simple Math Question (Captcha): You will see a basic math question such as: "6 + 8 = ?" - Simply enter 14 in the box. (This captcha is only for verification and security.
  • Click the Check Eligibility button. You will immediately see one of the three results:
    • बधाई हो!! आप उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार की बिजली बिल राहत योजना 2025-26 से छूट प्राप्त कर सकते हैं|
    • You are not eligible. Please contact the SDO office (Under Bill Outlier Consumer)
    • We are grateful for your support for being our regular paying customer. You are not eligible for OTS scheme.
  • If your account qualifies, the website will display complete billing details, including:

    • 100% LPSC Waive Off (surcharge completely waived)
    • Wave Off in Principal Amount (principal rebate)

  • Installment Payment: If you prefer installments, the page displays multiple installment plans, such as ₹750 or ₹500 per month. For each option, the portal shows:
    • Monthly Installment Amount (750 / 500)
    • Total Outstanding Amount
    • Registration Amount (₹ 2000)

Electricity Theft Assessment Cases Can Also Check Their Eligibility Online

Just like normal consumer accounts, theft assessment cases (जुर्माना / चोरी का प्रकरण) can also check their updated payable amount, relief, and settlement eligibility online.

Consumers involved in theft cases can visit the dedicated UPPCL portal: https://theft.uppcl.org:4443/Login.aspx

What is a Raid ID?

A Raid ID is a unique identification number generated by the electricity department (UPPCL) for every theft inspection conducted at a consumer’s premises. This ID is used in the UPPCL Raid Portal to save offence details, payable amount.

Raid IDs usually begin with prefixes such as: JE, PE, VE; for example - PEGZB14XXXXXX

Do Consumers Have Their Raid ID?

In most cases, consumers do not have their Raid ID with them. The ID is recorded by the department during the raid, but the consumer may not receive a copy.

If a consumer does not know their Raid ID, they must visit their nearest Electricity Distribution Office (EDD/SDO/JE office) to obtain it.

This allows the consumer to verify all details online without visiting the office, except when the Raid ID itself is unknown.
